Plagiarism Detection
When submitting their academic works, authors declare that these are original and unpublished, and that they are free of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism. In addition, they must indicate in a footnote on the first page if their work is based on materials available in previous publications, repositories, or online sources.
As part of the evaluation process, all academic works undergo a plagiarism check using the software Crossref: Similarity Check.
The results of the analysis will be assessed according to the following similarity ranges:
- 0–10% similarity: Acceptable and requires no further analysis.
- 11–20% similarity: Will undergo a detailed evaluation by the Editors-in-Chief with the support of the Editorial Committee. If necessary, external specialists will be invited to determine the severity of the situation.
- More than 20% similarity: The manuscript will be automatically rejected for non-compliance with the journal’s policies.
Sanctions
Depending on the severity of the case, sanctions applicable to the involved authors may include, but are not limited to:
- Rejection of the manuscript in question and/or any other manuscripts currently under review by the same authors.
- Prohibition from submitting new manuscripts to the journal for a period of up to five years.
- Removal or disqualification from collaborating with the journal as an editor and/or reviewer.
