Evaluation Process
The review process for academic works consists of two stages. The first stage is carried out by the Editorial Committee. This stage involves reviewing formal aspects (submission format, bibliographic references, plagiarism detection, and word count) to ensure full compliance with the journal’s publication guidelines and alignment with the editorial criteria. At this stage, the work may be rejected, returned for modifications, or sent directly for external review.
In the second stage of the evaluation process, a peer review approach is followed, maintaining the anonymity of both authors and reviewers, known as the double-blind system. At least one national or international expert reviewer, selected based on their scientific, technological, and academic background in relation to the topic addressed in the submitted work, will carry out the corresponding evaluation.
Reviewers may choose to accept the work, suggest modifications, or reject it. This process may vary in duration depending on the complexity of the considerations or the need to consult additional experts.
Throughout the evaluation process, special care is taken to preserve the confidentiality of authors and reviewers. Once the evaluation is completed, the Editorial Committee analyzes the results and communicates them to the authors.
Evaluation Criteria
Evaluations will be based on the following criteria:

- Alignment of conclusions with the initial purpose

Reviewers recommend whether the academic work should be published according to the following options: “Publishable,” “Publishable with minor modifications,” “Publishable with major modifications,” or “Not publishable.”
Manuscripts submitted to LINKS must be original and unpublished; that is, they must not have been previously published in any medium nor be under simultaneous review by other scientific journals.
