Thematic Areas

The LINKS Journal receives original and unpublished contributions related to UTEC’s strategic areas and topics of international interest.

The journal considers works that address the following thematic areas:

• Technologies Applied to the Environment

Includes: logistics and sustainability, agroecology, environment, irrigation systems, agrivoltaic systems, bioresources, biotechnology and environmental chemistry, instrumental analysis, space research.

• Technologies Applied to Education

Includes: learning and society, social and educational implications of technologies, educational technology.

• Technologies Applied to Energy Production and Use

Includes: research on wind energy, green hydrogen and electromobility, energy processing and control.

• Technologies Applied to Industry

Includes: intelligent maintenance of industrial systems, intelligent and cyber-physical systems, emerging technologies for smart industry, applied mechanics, education and innovation in logistics.

• Artificial Intelligence and Data

Includes: artificial intelligence applications, robotics and AI, neuroscience and applied AI, data, analysis, representation, and systems.

• Food Technology

Includes: dairy science and technology, honey and beekeeping product technology, sustainable agro-food production.

Authors from UTEC and from national and international institutions— including faculty, students, graduates, researchers, and professionals—may participate. Academic works may be submitted in Spanish, and submissions in English or Portuguese may also be accepted.
