Review
The review process for academic papers consists of two stages. The first stage is carried out by the Editorial Committee. This stage includes reviewing formal aspects (submission format, bibliographic references, plagiarism detection, and word count) to ensure proper compliance with the journal’s publication standards and alignment with the criteria outlined in the “About the Journal” section. At this stage, the paper may be rejected, returned for modifications, or sent directly for external review.
In the second stage of evaluation, a peer-review approach is followed, maintaining the anonymity of both authors and reviewers, known as a double-blind system. At least one national or international expert reviewer—selected based on their scientific-technological and academic background in relation to the topic of the submitted work—will conduct the corresponding evaluation.
Reviewers may choose to accept the paper, suggest modifications, or reject it. This process may vary in duration depending on the complexity of the considerations or the need to consult additional experts.
Throughout the evaluation process, special care is taken to preserve the confidentiality of authors and reviewers. Once the evaluation is completed, the Editorial Committee analyzes the results and communicates them to the authors.
