Author Guidelines

General Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts must be submitted through the Journal Platform, accompanied by a cover letter in PDF format, signed by each and every author.

Texts must be submitted in .docx format or equivalent, on A4-size pages, with 2.5 cm margins, Arial 12 font, and 1.0 or 1.15 line spacing.
The main title must use Arial 14 in bold, and subtitles must use Arial 12 in bold.
Underlining is not allowed, and words in other languages must be italicized.
Tables, figures, and images must be numbered, referenced in the text, and accompanied by the corresponding source.

Information to Be Included at the Beginning of the Manuscript

  • Title, abstract, and keywords in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.

  • ORCID identifier for each author.

  • Total number of pages of the manuscript.

  • Information for each author:

    • Full name

    • Main institutional affiliation and, when applicable, Faculty, Unit, or Department

    • City and country

    • Contact email

Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s OJS system. The submission process requires two documents:

(a) A file intended for peer review, in Word or similar format, which must not contain any identifying authorship information.
(b) A cover letter in PDF format, signed by all authors, which must include:

Author Information:

Full details of all authors: full name, main institutional affiliation, unit, department or faculty, city and country, position or academic degree, email address, and ORCID number.

Manuscript Information:

Title of the manuscript, abstract, keywords, thematic area and section to which it is submitted, originality statement, and total number of words (excluding references).

Ethical and Editorial Declarations:

  • Originality and Unpublished Status: A statement affirming that the manuscript has not been previously published and is not under review in another journal.

  • Authorship Contribution (CRediT Taxonomy): Each author must indicate only the roles in which they participated (completing all categories is not required):

    1. Conceptualization: (Author’s name)

    2. Data curation: (Author’s name)

    3. Formal analysis: (Author’s name)

    4. Funding acquisition: (Author’s name)

    5. Investigation: (Author’s name)

    6. Methodology: (Author’s name)

    7. Project administration: (Author’s name)

    8. Resources: (Author’s name)

    9. Software: (Author’s name)

    10. Supervision: (Author’s name)

    11. Validation: (Author’s name)

    12. Visualization: (Author’s name)

    13. Writing – original draft: (Author’s name)

    14. Writing – review & editing: (Author’s name)

  • Consent Statement: Indicating that all parties approve the submitted version and authorize its submission.

  • Conflict of Interest Statement: Indicating whether conflicts exist or not.

Confirmation of Compliance with Guidelines:

  • A statement affirming that the manuscript follows the journal’s guidelines (format, style, references, etc.).

  • Confirmation that the file intended for peer review has been correctly prepared (with no identifying information).

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
