Review of first reports of sustainability of the main producer of cellulose in Uruguay by 2022

Review of content and compliance analysis with the formalities for issuing the first sustainability reports according to GRI Standards by the company Montes del Plata. A longitudinal analysis for 2019-2020 is conducted to examine how the company reports on the economic, social, and environmental impacts it generates, confirming adequate compliance with the mandatory criteria required under the standards for the Essential Option. It is understood that the content and quality of both reports successfully meet the principles. Some opportunities for improvement are identified, related to comprehensiveness, reliability, and timeliness. Finally, the willingness to issue sustainability reports is highlighted.
